About the Project

What is CodeSaj?

CodeSaj is a personal side project built around fine-tuned AI image generation models. The goal is simple: create high-quality wallpapers of specific characters and make them freely available.

The project started in January 2025 as an experiment and it is slowly growing into something big.

🎨
AI Models

Fine-tuned Stable Diffusion models trained on specific character datasets for accurate likeness.

🖼️
High Resolution

Images are generated at lower resolutions, then upscaled to higher resolution matching PC/Mobile aspect ratio.

🗂️
Organized Gallery

Images sorted by character, orientation (landscape/portrait) and content rating (SFW/NSFW).

🧑🏻‍💻
In Active Development

New characters, images and features are added regularly as the project keeps evolving.

Behind the project

Who am I & why CodeSaj?

I'm a full-time game developer with 14 years of programming experience across Java, C#, C, Python and a handful of other languages picked up along the way. Outside of work I run personal projects purely as a hobby — CodeSaj is one of them.

When AI image generation started maturing, I saw it as an opportunity to go deeper than just using existing tools. I set out to learn the full pipeline: collecting and curating training data, fine-tuning models on specific characters, and iterating on prompts and samplers to push output quality. Over time the tooling I built around this workflow has reached a point where — in terms of time invested vs. quality produced — it holds its own against many free and paid online services.

The project lives entirely in my free time. I keep training new characters, refining quality and adding generation features as I go. The underlying tooling is not open-source and I have no plans to publish it — this gallery is simply the public-facing output of that work.

Progress

Where things stand

A snapshot of what's been built, what's being worked on, and what's coming next.

January 2025
Project kick-off
Established the core AI generation pipeline and project architecture. First test outputs were rough — but it was a start.
March 2025
Hitting a wall
Completed the foundational pipeline but ran into a series of roadblocks. Debugging consumed more energy than the results were worth — at one point I seriously considered dropping the project entirely.
January 2026
Back in action
Returned after a long break with renewed motivation. Tackled the blockers that had stalled progress and got the pipeline moving again.
February 2026
First valid outputs
The pipeline produced its first genuinely usable results. Low quality by today's standards, but a real milestone.
March 2026
Model quality improves
Trained higher-quality models and started getting noticeably better outputs. Shifted focus toward visual style and abstract art.
April 2026
New art style
Trained a new model applying a refined art style with stronger visual effects and overall aesthetic.
May 2026
Body part improvements
Significant improvement in generating human limbs and fingers — still not perfect, but a clear step forward.
June 2026
Characters, art styles & image input
New characters and art styles added. Introduced image-based input alongside text prompts, expanding generation options.
Roadmap

What's next

New characters
Training new fine-tuned models for additional characters.
Body part improvements
Continued refinement of limbs and fingers — closing the gap toward anatomical accuracy.
Visual enhancements
Pushing art style quality, lighting, and overall aesthetic consistency.
Seamless animations
Feed an image as input and generate a looping seamless animation from it.
